Overview:

The Aerohive Networks HiveAP 320 is a high-performance, dual concurrent (2.4 and 5 GHz) 802.11n, 3x3 MIMO access point with dual 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports. The HiveAP 320 is a Plenum-Rated AP designed for indoor office environments. Dual Ethernet ports allow the access points to use link aggregaion to bond 100Mbps links or to ensure relability with redundant link. This allows the performance advantage of dual radio 802.11n to be seen even when connected through legacy 10/100 switches.

The HiveAP 320 is a durable, enterprise-grade, high performance (3x3) MIMO solution, designed for high bandwidth demand wireless enterprise environments. With three radios and the ability to provide service concurrently on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands, the HiveAP 320 can provide up to an aggregate data rate of 600 Mbps. The HiveAP 320 provides both mesh and support for legacy 802.11a, b, and g clients, through Aerohive's industry unique and resilient controller-less architecture.

When connected to two separate switches, the dual links can be used for redundant data connectivity in case one of the switches fails. The HiveAP 320 also features Smart Power over Ethernet (PoE), which allows operation at standard 802.3af as well as at 802.3at specs to provide additional deployment functionality.

Innovative Industrial Design
The AP320 is designed to blend well into an office environment. Our low-distraction indicators appear as gently glowing colors rather than bright blinking lights, avoiding employees from being distracted while clearly providing status to IT personnel, or indicators can be disabled altogether.

Software Features

HiveOS
All HiveAPs support the feature-rich HiveOS service architecture. HiveOS is an implementation of Aerohive's Cooperative Control Architecture which enables multiple APs to organize into groups or "hives," that share control information enabling functions such as fast layer-2/ layer-3 roaming, cooperative RF management, security and mesh networking without requiring a dedicated system controller. The resulting feature-rich capability enables a next generation wireless LAN architecture, called a Cooperative Control Wireless LAN Architecture. This architecture provides the benefits of a controller-based implementation, yet has a lower deployment/ownership cost, is more reliable, more scalable, higher performing and more suitable for today's proliferation of wireless applications than controller-based architectures.

Network Management Solutions
Aerohive's HiveManager NMS is a central management solution for Aerohive HiveAPs. HiveManager supports simple policy creation, firmware upgrades, configuration updates, and centralized monitoring throughout the entire Aerohive deployment, whether building-wide, campus-wide, or global - all from a single console. Because the HiveManager is not actively involved in passing traffic or in making forwarding decisions, it eliminates the traffic bottlenecks and complexities of controller-based solutions, particularly in geographically distributed environments. As a result, control is distributed, while management is centralized. Essentially, the HiveManager solution delivers the benefits of both autonomous APs and controller-based solutions, without the drawbacks of either approach.

Aerohive's HiveManager NMS can be delivered two ways:

• HiveManager VMware virtual appliance—an on-premise VM management solution

The Aerohive Support offerings provide what you need to help you keep your wireless network up and running. Bundled warranty Support provides basic issue resolution and replacement of Aerohive products within the applicable warranty period. If you need round-the-clock access to Technical Support, you can elect to upgrade to Aerohive's Paid Support offering that includes 24x7 or 8x5 Technical Support, web and phone Support access, next day advanced hardware replacement, and software updates.

Bundled Warranty Support
Every Aerohive product includes a warranty that provides (a) three months of access to the Aerohive Customer Support Portal, which provides standard software updates (including bug fixes and error corrections) and upgrades (including generally available new features and enhancements), and (b) limited lifetime hardware repair or replacement services OR

As part of the limited hardware warranty, if you experience a hardware failure that is verified by an Aerohive Technical Support technician, we will ship you a replacement unit within ten days after the date we receive the defective unit² and will reimburse you for your reasonable shipping costs. hardware repair and replacement services for a one-year period.¹

Paid Support
Through its Paid Support program, Aerohive offers two levels of Technical Support services.

Technical Support
Get Support for an unlimited³ number of questions or issues either 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (24x7 Paid Support), or Monday – Friday 7:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M. Pacific Standard Time (8x5 Paid Support). The 24x7 Paid Support plan includes software subscription and next-business-day advanced replacement of hardware. The 8x5 Paid Support plan includes software subscription but not the advanced replacement option. Both levels of Aerohive Paid Support provide access to the Aerohive Technical Support team by phone or online.⁴

With 24x7 Paid Support, Aerohive will use commercially reasonable efforts to respond to your Technical Support requests within four hours of receipt of your online request or voicemail message. Responses may be delivered by email or telephone.

The next-business-day advanced replacement option is only available as part of the 24x7 Paid Support plan. The software subscription offering is not only included as part of the two paid Support plans but is also available separately.

Software Subscription
(Included with 24x7 Paid Support, 8x5 Paid Support, and available separately) With a software subscription, you receive the most up-to-date Aerohive software upgrades and updates for HiveOS and HiveManager products.⁵ Updates include bug fixes and error corrections. Upgrades include new product features and enhancements that Aerohive makes available to its customers at its discretion.

Next-Business-Day Advanced Replacement
(Available only with 24x7 Paid Support) If you experience a hardware failure that is verified by an Aerohive Technical Support team member,⁶ you will be sent a replacement unit via a nationally recognized courier to your location within the United States or Canada.

If Aerohive verifies the hardware failure and authorizes a replacement by 1:00 P.M. Pacific Time Monday through Friday, a replacement unit will be shipped to you overnight for next-business-day delivery. If the hardware failure is verified by Aerohive outside of these hours, your replacement unit will be shipped on the next business day for delivery to you on the following business day.

You will have 30 days from the date you receive your replacement unit to return the replaced unit to Aerohive in a pre-paid shipping box. If Aerohive does not receive the replaced unit within the 30-day period, Aerohive will invoice you for the then-current price of the replacement unit.
